A recent windfall (aka, a refund check for a mistakenly overpaid bill) enabled me to enlarge my To-Be-Read (TBR) pile. I would call it shelf, but I don’t have a shelf empty to use. If I put them away with other books I’ve already read they will most likely be forgotten in favor of some new addition. You’ve all seen my already read list, so here’s a peek at what’s up and coming:

(In no particular order.)

  • Rincewind the Wizard by Terry Pratchett – Omnibus featuring The Colour of Magic, The Light Fantastic, Sorcery and Eric.
  • A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore
  • Moonshine by Rob Thurman
  • Peter and the Starcatchers by Ridley Pearson and Dave Berry
  • Dreaming Again edited by Jack Dann
  • The Princess Bride by William Goldman – I’ve seen the movie but never read the book. Thank goodness for Paperback Swap!
  • Night Shift by Lilith Saintcrow – Rapidly becoming a huge fan of Saintcrow, the more I read her books- and her blog.
  • Witch by Marie Brennan
  • Ill Wind by Rachel Caine – I was going to pass the Weather Warden series by, but it was recently talked up by one of my favorite authors so I decided to give it a try.

What’s in your TBR pile?

Kiara

Kiara possesses a dry wit, a sharp sarcasm, and a towering intellect. Her secret alter ego has a boring™ day job, but at night she writes and reviews speculative fiction. She carries the keys to dozens of hearts in her pockets and jumps puddles in a single bound. Her superhero power is losing her socks before they've even made it into the dryer. She also likes to tell stories, so parts of this bio may be exaggerated. Waiting for Fairies is not responsible for any credulity that may be lost in the reading of this bio.
