Day 08 – Your favorite work in translation

I’m embarrassed to say that, besides some work by English and Australian authors (which don’t really need to be translated at all), I haven’t read anything that fits into this category.

But I do have this on my to-be-read shelf & I will get around to reading it some day:

Kiara

Kiara possesses a dry wit, a sharp sarcasm, and a towering intellect. Her secret alter ego has a boring™ day job, but at night she writes and reviews speculative fiction. She carries the keys to dozens of hearts in her pockets and jumps puddles in a single bound. Her superhero power is losing her socks before they've even made it into the dryer.     I am currently about 3/4 of the way through this book right now, actually. I like it a great deal. It's very dark, though, so be prepared for that when you get around to it. PS This is also the only book I've read in translation that I'm aware of.
