The other day, in a fit of pique — and after this website was down for about 2 hours in the middle of a random weekday — I decided to switch hosting companies again. Why did I ever move away from Hostgator? They aren’t the cheapest hosting company ever, but for the range of features they offer, they’re fairly competitively priced and the uptime and ease of use is just…. I am never moving my hosting again. Let’s just say that.
So now that I’ve dumped a bucket of money into this place — I now have hosting until 2022 — I suppose I should start writing here again. I know The Kids These Days™ don’t really write blogs anymore, but I am pretty far from a kid now, so I’m gonna do what I want. The advantage of being an adult is that no one can stop you but the cops and the upper limits of your wallet.
So pardon the dust here, please. I changed the theme in the move and most of my pictures and things broke despite the plugin I used to try to update them. I’ve updated the first dozen or so, but I have 300+ pages here across 10 years so it might take me awhile to make things all pretty again.
In the meantime, I’ve got so many good books to tell you about! And I might as well rant a few times while I’m at it.
